For the first time in Malaysia, three Korean acts - BEAST, 4Minute and G.Na performed for one night only at the biggest K-pop party ever, immersing 5,000 avid fans in the electric sound of Seoul.
G.Na, 4Minute and BEAST took centre stage accordingly at 8.30pm, treating fans to a power-packed 14-song performance that brought the entire stadium of fans to their feet. The atmosphere was electrifying as fans paid tribute to their favourite artistes by matching the artistes’ every choreographed step as proof they have memorized it to heart. The Korean artistes showed their love in return with local greetings such as “Apa Khabar Malaysia?” and “Malaysia Bagus!”
The song line-up for the party included, from G.Na: I Will Get Lost, You Go Your Way, Take A Bow, Supa Solo, from 4Minute: HUH, I My Me Mine, Highlight, Muzik, Hot Issue and from BEAST: Special, Soom, Shock, Oasis, Beautiful and V.I.U.
A favourite among Malaysians, the six-member boy band, BEAST, is in Malaysia for the second time to be part of the DiGi Live K-pop Party 2011. The group, comprising Yoon Doo Joon, Jang Hyun Seung, Yong Jun Hyung, Yang Yo Sub, Lee Ki Kwang and Son Dong Woon, made their debut in 2009 and went on to win Best Newcomer Award at the 19th Seoul Music Awards in February 2010.
The five-member girl band, 4Minute, took home the Newcomer Award 2010 at the 16th Korea Entertainment Arts Awards and was voted Asia Influential Artist Award at the 2010 Asia Song Festival. Comprising Nam Ji Hyun, Heo Ga Yoon, Jeon Ji Yoon, Kim HyunA and Kwon So Hyun, 4Minute’s hit singles include Muzik, I My Me Mine, and First/Dreams Come True.
Gina Choi or better known by her stage name, G.Na, has collaborated with BEAST and RAIN on her singles, I’ll Back Off So You Can Live and Things I Want To Do When I Have A Lover respectively. She released her debut album, Draw G’s First Breath with the hit single, Supa Solo. She was also the award winner of Mnet M! Countdown in August 2010, a Korean billboard ranking chart.
