This comment is specially for Esther,i was wondering that she has a good vocal among all the contestant but her pronounciation is not that clear so is it a matter?Lastly, i hope that she can pick more of the new generation songs and this might help her to change her personality to be younger.Anyway,she is still one of my favourite in one in a million show.

Well, frankly speaking, i think that a teenagers mind could be shaped when they are still young (like now for your daughter case... hehe). By the time they're 16, if they could differentiate between what's right and what's wrong.. i don't see why can't they go on a dates. Anyway, still need to reach out to them and understand them especially during their teenage-hood. You should not stop her. I had gone through that situation before where my mom stop me from go out dating. I will just start lying, telling my mom that i go out with friends.
So, if you want your daughter be honest with you or you don't want any gap between you and your daughter, you better be more understanding towards your daughter instead of just stop her for dating.

To my opinion as a daughter, I think that everything parents do/did is only best for their kids. What a 16 year old kid know about life? I mean REAL LIFE? First and foremost, I have just turn 17 years old last January and i am a chinese girl. My parents allow me to have a man in my life. Mostly they think i am responsible enough to handle relationship at my age. They also said that my boyfriend is great and i am mature to take care of myself. And on V-day i stayed at home to study for my SPM. I only go out with my boyfriend once per 3 months.
So what i am trying to say is: Parents should allow their child freedom based on their child's ability

Ya, havin ur daughter's respect and trust is gonna be much better in long run. I'd let her go..from as soon as she wants to, but with some guidelines at first.
Let her know that ONE time letting you down will change everything. She should knw also, that a decent guy will prefer a trustworthy girl.

hi there.. i think.. it's just not time yet.. maybe 18 will be better,, but not 16.. i'm not being old-fashioned here,, but i do believe that it's the right way to deal with it.. my parents didn't let me as well when i was younger.. i know it's for my own good.. but teens ARE teens.. well i know i would be upset wif my parents if they dun allow me to go out wif a guy i really like...if fact some of my frens lie to their parents and sneak out anyway...i'm sure u'd rather know where they are then havin them sneaking out wif god knows who n where...so let her go if she really wants to but be aware of the kind of guy he is n every detail u can get...or u can even do the scary dad interogation thingy to the guy...muahahaha...pz
