8TV Proudly Presents "8TV Fun Hunt"

PETALING JAYA, 26th JULY 2011 – It’s time to make the world a little greener and 8TV is all set to launch its first ever Go Green-eco-friendly 8TV Fun Hunt. This is an initiative that gathers the likes of local celebrities, media as well as lay people to join in a day filled with adventure and fun while playing their part in reducing the environmental footprint that has been imprinted.

Similar to the mechanics of a treasure hunt, the 8TV Fun Hunt sees participants play games and solve puzzles to find hidden articles, locations or places using a series of clues stressing on activities that require both mental work and physical strength. The only difference between a treasure hunt and this fun hunt is the whole load of FUN that comes with it.

The 8TV Fun Hunt that will take place on the 1st of October 2011 will have contestants flag off from Sri Pentas, Bandar Utama at 7.30am to proceed with an array of activities that will embed a sense of environmental awareness to participants, some of which include Bin There, Dump That!, Can it! and the Environ-mental Challenge!

Registration for the Hunt that will open on the 26th of July 2011, will close on the 23rd of September 2011 or until the quota of 50 cars have been reached - forms can be obtained on www.8tv.com.my or via the 8TV Facebook page. The hunt is open to Malaysians of all ages and teams are to be made up of a minimum of 2 or a maximum of 4 members. A minimal registration fee of RM25.00 per head will be charged and proceeds from the event will be donated to Zoo Negara Malaysia. Zoo Negara Malaysia, that is now 48 years old, is managed by the Malaysian Zoological Society, a non-governmental organization established to create the first local zoo for Malaysians. In view of 8TV’s 8th anniversary celebrations, everything screams “8”, even the prizes! The first prize walks away with RM1888.00, while the first runner up wins RM888.00 and the second runner up bags, RM488.00. There are also 8 consolation prizes that will be given out for best decorated car, most creative group name, most creative shot, fastest team, slowest team, most stylish team, best mascot and who knows 8tv best! But that’s not all, there are many heaps of exciting lucky draw prizes to be won!
